The Phoenix Hostel & Cultural Center is located in the Salt River Valley on ancestral territories of Indigenous peoples, including the Akimel O’odham (Pima) and Pee Posh (Maricopa) Indian Communities, whose care and keeping of these lands allows us to be here today. We acknowledge the sovereignty of these nations and seek to foster an environment of nurturing and possibility for Native American peoples and patrons. We are advocates and supporters of Native organizing and social justice movements for water rights, land repatriation, public health, housing and cultural return. We welcome members of the Akimel O’odham, Pee Posh and Salt River Pima and all native people in “Arizona” to stay at this hostel for no cost and to use this space freely.
