What are the requirements to stay?

Accepted Answer

All guests must be 18 years or older unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A valid government-issued ID is required for all guests, and they must reside outside of Maricopa County. Reservations must be paid for using a credit/debit card or PayPal in the guest's name. We do not accept credit card authorizations for payments made by someone who is not staying at the hostel.

Our entire property is smoke/vape free. Smoking/vaping is not allowed anywhere on the property.

What time is check in? Checkout?

Check in is any time after 3 pm although rooms may be ready earlier. Registered guests will receive an email on their arrival date with the room access code when the room is ready. All check-ins are self-service and can be completed at any time, even late at night. Checkout must be done by 10 am.

How late can I check in?

We offer self-check-in for confirmed reservations starting at 3 pm., allowing you to arrive at any time, even late at night. Detailed instructions will be emailed prior to your arrival date.

Where should I park my car?

Phoenix Hostel is located in an historic house in a residential neighborhood. There is ample, free street parking in front of the hostel and on the  side streets. No permits required! If parking in front of the  hostel, please park on our side of the street.

Is breakfast included?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Breakfast is self-serve, with supplies available from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. We provide eggs, bread, peanut butter and jelly, oatmeal, pancake mix and syrup, coffee, and tea.

Are towels and bed linens included?

Yes. The bedding and towels will be on your bed when you arrive.

Is luggage storage available?

If you arrive before your room is ready for check-in (after 1 p.m.) or have a late flight after checkout (by 10 a.m.), you are welcome to leave your luggage in a  corner of the common room for same-day retrieval. While the property is gated with controlled access, please note that luggage storage is at your own risk. We recommend bringing a luggage lock if you plan to leave bags unattended.

Is there a grocery or convenience store nearby?

Yes!

• Los Altos Ranch Market: About 1 mile (1.6 km) away on the #10 Roosevelt bus line. This Mexican grocery store includes a restaurant and a tortilla factory. Don’t miss the $1.25 tacos on Taco Tuesday!

• Safeway: Located 0.9 miles (1.4 km) away, within walking distance. It’s a standard grocery store with a Starbucks inside.

• Milk & Honey Market: Just 0.5 miles (0.8 km) away, right on walkable Roosevelt Row. This mini market offers Boar's Head packaged deli meats, cheese, snacks, beer, wine, and a small selection of fruits and vegetables.

• Circle K: A convenience store and gas station located 0.2 miles (0.32 km) away, offering snacks, water, beer, and more.

How can I make a change to an existing reservation?

To cancel a reservation, change dates, or add dates, please send us a completed Reservation Response Form.(https://www.phxhostel.org/reservation-response) We will email you to confirm if we can accommodate your changes.

What's your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

For non-group reservations, you will receive a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before your check-in date. The 48-hour window closes at 12 p.m. MST, two days prior to your scheduled check-in. If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, you will be charged for the first night.

Group reservations (booking more than one room) will receive details about cancellation and refund policies during the booking process.

Do you offer tours to Sedona, the Grand Canyon, and other destinations?

We highly recommend Across Arizona Tours,(https://www.acrossarizonatours.com/) which provides pickup and drop-off right in front of the hostel. For shuttles to and from PHX Sky Harbor Airport, consider Groome Transportation (https://groometransportation.com/phoenix-airport/?&sd_client_id=89b98e27-9524-4214-9422-43ae14d127f0)for destinations such as Sedona, Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon, Prescott, and Tucson, or Flixbus (https://www.flixbus.com/)for Flagstaff and Tucson.
