FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT TIME ARE CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT?

Check-in hours are from 5pm to 10pm. Check-out on the last day of your reservation is by 10am.

WHAT IF I CAN'T ARRIVE UNTIL AFTER 10PM?

We can accommodate late check-ins who notify us of their arrival time at least 24 hrs in advance. Please contact us via email if you need to arrange this. Please note late arrival check-in service between 10pm and midnight incurs a $5 cash fee, and between midnight and 2am incurs a $10 cash fee. We do not conduct check-ins past 2am, except in the case of flight delays altering a previously arranged late arrival. This fee is payable upon arrival.

CAN I DROP OFF MY LUGGAGE PRIOR TO 5PM CHECK-IN?

Luggage drop off is available for those that have a confirmed reservation. Call the phone number on the front door when you arrive at the hostel and provide the requested information. You will be instructed where to leave your gear.

HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION?

For the best rates, book directly through our secure reservation system. Note that third-party booking sites charge an extra deposit fee - you'll save money by booking direct! Please note that we do not accept Arizona residents!

WHAT IS THE NIGHTLY RATE?

Dorm beds begin at $33/night and private rooms begin at $50/night for a single or $70/night for a double. A private room with 3-4 people will be charged dorm prices. Members of Hostelling International receive a 10% discount per night. To inquire about group rates, please click here.

HOW DO I GET TO THE HOSTEL?

Phoenix Hostel is about five miles from Sky Harbor International Airport and the Greyhound bus station. Click here for directions.

I HAVE A CAR, WHERE CAN I PARK?

There is plentiful, free on-street parking on 9th Street and throughout our residential neighborhood -- no parking permits required! Please park on our side of the street.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE NIGHTLY RATE?

Linens, towels, free wifi, self-serve breakfast, free on-street parking, use of kitchen and common spaces, and lounging in sunny garden hammocks.

what is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival time. Please cancel through the same booking engine you used to make your reservation (ie: hostelworld, hihostels, etc). If you booked directly through our website, send us a cancellation notice by email and we will send a confirmation. No shows and those that do not provide 48 hours notice will be charged for the first night and the entire reservation cancelled.

DO YOU OFFER 24HR ACCESS?

Yes, all day/night access to dorms and common spaces.

HOW IS THE HOSTEL ALSO A CULTURAL CENTER?

We are a unique blend of international hostel and cultural center. We invite our guests and local community members to come together in the participation and enjoyment of theater, dance, and music on the hostel grounds. We host events from artists and organizations who are dedicated to social justice and whose works address issues faced by marginalized communities.

DO YOU OFFER TOURS TO SEDONA OR THE GRAND CANYON?

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer tours at this time. Check out the tours offered by Across Arizona Tours, who can pick you up for a day trip right at our front door or venture up to our friends in Flagstaff at the Grand Canyon International Hostel to take their tour.
